Notebook Navigator. Zero lines written by hand.

Notebook Navigator replaces the file explorer in Obsidian with a fast two-pane interface. It is the most popular plugin in Obsidian's directory, built and maintained by a single person: our CEO Johan Sanneblad. Every line of code is written by AI agents.

“My name is Steve Chen. I was the CTO and one of the co-founders of YouTube. I love what you've built with Notebook Navigator!”

Obsidian is one of the world's most popular tools for notes and personal knowledge. Notebook Navigator ranks first in popularity among all plugins in the directory, with over 700,000 downloads and support for 21 languages. Its users range from students to founders of some of the world's largest tech companies.

One hundred percent agentic

Johan doesn't write the code, he prompts it. The tools are Claude Code and Codex, and the method is the same one we use in client work: clear scope, acceptance criteria, test suites, and releases at a high cadence. After 3,687 commits and 180 releases, the codebase spans over 270,000 lines, 42,000 of which are tests. Lines written by hand: zero.

What it means for you

Notebook Navigator is our proof that agentic development holds up in production, for real users, through years of maintenance. We bring the same method to you: your teams, your infrastructure, and a result you own outright.

We're happy to show the method in practice, on your systems, with your team.
